OPEN FORUMS with TRUSTEES on the Proposed Property and Proceeds Policy

Background: On June 1, 2023, the Presbytery APPROVED for first reading the Property and Proceeds Policy for the Presbytery of Los Ranchos. The stated purpose of the policy “is to clarify how we, as a presbytery and community of congregations, will work together to steward the property God has entrusted to our denomination for mission in our district.”

Council has voted to postpone the second reading of the policy to the November Presbytery Gathering. These Open Forums will provide all who are interested an opportunity to ask questions about the policy, to come to a better understanding of the policy’s role in guiding the presbytery’s decisions about property, and to discuss the pros and cons of possible amendments to the policy for its second reading in November.
