A Christmas Greeting & Prayer from Your Presbytery Staff
God of Light,
Joyfully prepare our hearts as those who await a Savior. In your strength protect the vulnerable. Bring comfort to the displaced and traumatized. Provide aid to all who are broke and brokenhearted. Empower us to build an eternal kingdom that acts with wisdom and kindness. And, then as Christmas dawns, find us rejoicing with awe and wonder as those who have seen Christ’s glory, the One who was and is and is to come. Amen.
“1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of the father’s only son, full of grace and truth” (John 1:1, 14 NRSV).
May this Christmas be for you a season of reflection and genuine wonder. May you sense the tangible presence of the Christ child anew and may the joy of our Lord’s birth fill your homes and hearts with abundant peace and love.
Merry Christmas and Blessings in the New Year,
Your Presbytery Staff
