Pastoral Transitions: Congregations and Pastoral Leadership

Have you heard terms like ITP, Bridge, Supply, CP, CRE, MDP, PDP, CLC, or UP lately and wondered what they all mean?

Many congregations are currently in, or about to enter, a season of pastoral transition. If that sounds like your church—or if you’re simply curious—I invite you to a time of information-sharing focused on navigating pastoral transitions.

We’ll discuss:

• The pastoral dissolution process
• The call process in the PC(USA)
• Various forms of pastoral leadership (Installed, Transitional, Commissioned Pastors, etc.)
• Tools like the Ministry Discernment Profile (MDP), Personal Discernment Profile (PDP), and Church Leadership Connection (CLC)

This session is designed to help congregations and sessions better understand the discerning journey ahead and the resources available.

I hope you’ll consider joining us on Monday, September 15, 2025, 6-7 pm on ZOOM.

Translation services will be provided during this meeting via Wordly-AI. All Zoom participants will receive a link to receive translations via Zoom Chat at the start of the meeting.
