Seeking Commissioners to the 227th General Assembly

June 22-July 2, 2026

It’s time to elect commissioners to the 227th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). The hybrid assembly will begin with online committee work June 22-24, then meet in person for plenary sessions June 27-July 2 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Los Ranchos will send two Ruling Elder and two Teaching Elder (Minister of the Word and Sacrament) commissioners and one Young Adult Advisory Delegate (YAAD). The election will take place at our Thursday, September 18th Presbytery Gathering, where all candidates will be asked to speak for up to two minutes about why they would like to represent Los Ranchos at the biannual business meeting of the denomination. The two Ruling Elder and two Teaching Elder nominees receiving the most votes will be elected as GA Commissioners; the next highest vote getter in either “elder” category will be the alternate. The YAAD nominee receiving the most votes will be elected; the nominee receiving the second highest number of votes will be the YAAD alternate.
