Los Angeles General Medical Center Welcomes New Chaplain
The Consortium for the chaplaincy at the Los Angeles General Medical Center is delighted to introduce The Reverend Charity Ngaruiya as its new chaplain. She began work at the hospital on January16th.
Reverend Ngaruiya, a member of Pacific Presbytery, was ordained specifically for chaplaincy service. Originally from Kenya, Charity Ngaruiya holds a Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies from Biola University and a Masters of Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. She also has a Masters of Divinity from International Leadership University in Kenya. She is a board-certified chaplain.
The Consortium, a collaboration between the presbyteries of Los Ranchos, Pacific, San Gabriel, and San Fernando, in partnership with the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii, is pleased to be able to continue the strong legacy of Presbyterian chaplains at the Medical Center.
