CAGI Conference Celebrates Connections

Participants from the United States and Kenya joyfully gathered in Fullerton in late August for The Church of Amazing Grace International’s first annual International Conference. Bookended by worship services led by the Reverend Dr. Johnson Kīnyua, who shared the pulpit with Reverend H. N. “Garrett” Ngere of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, Nairobi, and Reverend Johnson Mutuota of Seattle, worshippers sang and danced and prayed together.

The hope of the conference was to build connections between CAGI, the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, and Kenyans in diaspora. By all accounts the weekend was a success, ending with a luncheon at the Kīnyua’s home attended by conference leaders, members of the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Nairobi’s delegation, and friends and colleagues from around the Presbytery of Los Ranchos.
