Monday – Wednesday, February 11 – 13

Deadline to register is Monday, February 4, 2019.

There are a lot of compelling reasons to attend February’s Pastors’ Retreat, but certainly one of them is the timeliness of this topic and the expertise of our speaker. In an increasingly media-saturated world, it is essential for pastors to know how technology is shaping our spiritual and social lives. In fact, that very phrase is embedded in the title of his latest book iGods.

Craig Detweiler is currently the President of the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. He is a filmmaker, educator, and writer, who was previously the Professor of Communication and Creative Director of the Institute for Entertainment, Media, and Culture at Pepperdine University. He also holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, and a PhD in Theology and Culture from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Pastors, please put February 11-13, 2019 on your calendar and plan to attend. Ruling Elders, please encourage your sessions and congregations to set aside funding and time for your ministers to attend.

Our pastors’ ordination vows bid them to “be friends among our colleagues,” and this is one of the best events they have available to them to establish new friendships, deepen existing ones, and come home refreshed to lead our congregations with “energy, intelligence, imagination and love.”
