Come and listen to insights about the conversations that sessions are having with the Vital Congregations #7for7in2019 initiative. Free Your Space, Your Schedule, Your Soul, and Your Church

Facilitator: Rev. Courtney Ellis is an associate pastor at Presbyterian Church of the Master. Author of Uncluttered and Almost Holy Mama: Life-Giving Spiritual Practices for Weary Parents, both of which premiered at #1 in their categories on Amazon. She lives in Mission Viejo with her husband Daryl (also a pastor at PCOM) and their three children.

Clutter can bind us, but God invites us to live in freedom. Whether you’re overscheduled, overstuffed, or overwhelmed, come learn simple starter steps to living a life free from clutter and filled with grace. This workshop will also address how to invite our churches to embrace the virtue of Christian simplicity, making room for the work of God in a world pressing us to overcommit.

Habitat for Humanity

Facilitator: Chris Untiet, Director of Faith Relations for Habitat LA and Rev. Lynn Stone, member of Habitat for Humanity OC’s Presbyterian Coalition

Learn about the housing crisis in Orange County and Los Angeles and how that is directly impacting your congregations. Experience what Habitat for Humanity is doing to help address this growing need for affordable housing, and explore ways that you can empower your congregation to unite with other Presbyterian churches to help build, repair, and revitalize the communities that you serve.

FREE Flu Clinic at Presbytery Gathering

November 21 from 1:30 pm – 3:15 pm

Faith Community Nursing is providing a FREE Flu Clinic at the next Presbytery Gathering! There will be a limited supply of vaccines, so they will be available on a first come, first served basis. You can indicate your interest in receiving a vaccine on our online registration for the Gathering. This will help us gauge the quantity that is needed.
