HOAG Spirituality Conference 2020
March 5 @ 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
KNOW THY NEIGHBOR A Hoag sponsored conference for health care providers, clergy and interested persons. Diversity and spirituality are universal components of humanity. This course is designed to examine various aspects of the diversity we encounter when caring for the health and spiritual needs of our patients, clients and communities. Serving others who hold perspectives distinct from our own can present uncertainty in how to provide culturally competent health care. This course offers tools to develop leadership skills when working with diverse populations; strategies to incorporate inter-generational collaboration; discussions surrounding inter-faith perspectives; and self-care for you and your patients by adopting healthy lifestyle choices. It is through exposure to diverse perspectives that we can enhance our own understanding of our shared humanity and provide excellence in meeting the mental, physical and spiritual needs of our patients.
This conference is a joint collaboration between Hoag Health Ministries Faith Community Nursing & Alzheimer’s Family Center. 5.5 hours of continuing education credit for RNs and for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs.
