Presbyterian Women Invite You to the Horizon Bible Study
During COVID when our churches shuttered their doors to meeting in person, many of our Women’s Circles or Bible study groups closed down. So that all women in Los Ranchos might have an opportunity to learn and study together, two ZOOM groups were offered and have continued for three years now. From September through May Blessed Connections meets the first Wednesday and Lights of Los Ranchos meets the third Tuesday, both from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friends and relatives are welcome, too.
It was such fun getting to know our sisters in Christ from across Los Ranchos and discover that we all have so much in common. Not only do we study together, we care about, laugh, cry, share ourselves and our stories, make friends, and pray for each other. Several times during the year we find a restaurant midway and break bread together and leave with hugs.
If your women are not currently meeting or your church does not have a group, and you would like to become a part of these unique groups, I invite you to join. Each month you will receive an email reminder including a link to the meeting. If you have difficulty with technology, join with a friend who can help and participate together.
“The Gospel According to Luke and the Book of Acts of the Apostles or Luke-Acts, ‘one story in two parts,’ demonstrate the unfolding of God’s redemptive purposes in human history and presents a distinctive perspective on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Written by Luke, a physician and traveling companion of Paul, the message to the early Christian community (and to us) is radical, inclusive and hope-filled.” As we join together, we can discuss ways we can apply what we learn in our own lives.
If you would like to join, please contact me, Anne Sivley, Facilitator. Provide your name, church, phone number, and email address. Then order the study book, Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts; expect delivery in a week to ten days. I look forward to meeting you on ZOOM.
