LGBTQ+ Affirmation & Equality: An Intergenerational Dialogue
April 29, 2023 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Claremont United Church of Christ
233 Harrison Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711
Engage in conversations, share resources, and explore these questions:
- What do younger LGBTQ+ and non-binary persons need in terms of support, respect and affirmation?
- What do parents and families need to know, understand and do to more fully support and affirm their LGBTQ+ and non-binary family members and friends?
- How might older LGBTQ+ and non-binary adults be of more support and empower younger generations?
Our leaders:
Rev. Annanda Barclay, M.Div. (she/they) is a Presbyterian minister and an Edwards Fellow of Auburn Seminary at Stanford Health Care and the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life at Stanford University.
Myles Markham (he/him or they/them) is a Christian educator, LGBTQ+ advocate and graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary. Myles works with film and media companies as a consulting and impact producer. He most recently worked on the Emmy-nominated PRAY AWAY (Netflix, 2021).
