The acceleration of change and demands to meet those changes have placed a heavy burden on the soul of the pastor. Good News – The annual pastor’s retreat will be a perfect opportunity to nurture the soul. Rev. Joseph Moore

Joseph Moore serves as the Ministry Relations Officer for the South Central Region. He works with congregations to create a culture of generosity, offers seminars and workshops, develops gifts and fundraising plans for ministries, provides coaching to finance, stewardship and endowment committees, and helps congregations discern where the Spirit might be leading as they consider issues around mission, property, and sustainability.

“I am convinced that the Spirit is at work in our Church and stories of hope and faithfulness are the cornerstone of effective ministry and stewardship,” said Joseph. “I am excited to walk with congregations as they explore innovative and effective ways to tell their stories, and to use the expertise and resources of the Presbyterian Foundation to help support their mission and ministry.”

Prior to joining the Foundation, Joseph served as pastor at several churches in Texas and Colorado. In addition to his work at the Foundation, he recently finished serving as moderator of the Presbytery of Plains and Peaks. He is a graduate of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and Trinity University (TX). He and his wife Shelley live in Ft. Collins, CO with their three children, Micah, Liam, and Hettie.  He is a terrible fly fisher but he loves it and will never stop trying.
