An invitation to walk alongside Church of Amazing Grace International (CAGI): Hosts Needed for Guests from Kenya
You might have come across my motto borrowed from Frederick Buechner i.e. “The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet”. I have found this place at CAGI.
Our vision at CAGI is to build an enduringly strong and a vibrant African Christian community, together. We reach out to African students and immigrant families living in Southern California. As we invite, we strive to make CAGI a place to belong, a place to share one’s gifts, a place where all are valued and celebrated. One of the ways we have actualized this (in the pre-covid days) is to hold annual thanksgiving ceremony for the years God has graciously guided us as a community of faith.
It is in the same spirit that we have decided to hold a 3-day annual convention and conference from August 26 – 29, 2022. We are expecting participants from Kenya and around USA. It is a first of its kind for CAGI. The bulk of those attending from Kenya are from the session and membership of PCEA St. Andrews Church, Nairobi.
After the weekend convention, the plan is to have a one-day conference/ luncheon for the guests to interact and share with Americans as well as Kenyans living in diaspora with the hope of discussing possible partnership strategies.
We invite you to partner with us in praying for this convention. We are also inviting members of Los Ranchos Presbytery to consider hosting some of our guests from Kenya. Thank you.
