In the wake of the cancellation of this summer’s Presbyterian Youth Triennium (PYT), youth leaders from around the presbytery are working on alternative summer gatherings for PLR youth.  Plans are underway for three one-day gatherings here locally and for a trip to the Montreat Youth Conference (MYC). Students entering high school through those just graduated from high school are invited to participate in one or all four.

Montreat Youth Conference July 23-30, 2022

Montreat Youth Conference (MYC) is a unique gathering of high school aged youth and their group leaders from all around the country. The conference values include sharing God’s love and hope, providing opportunities for faith growth and development, and equipping and empowering young people for Christian discipleship in the Church and the world. Local Gatherings

We’re still working on details and will share them soon. For now, save these dates for an afternoon and early evening spent with friends known for a long time or just met. The June and August events will focus on Bible study, prayer, small group time, recreation and a shared meal. The July event will also include a yet-to-be-determined mission project. All local events are FREE. Each gathering will be held at a different local site easily accessed from all points in the presbytery.

Sunday, June 5, 3:00 p.m. – at Morningside Presbyterian Church, Fullerton
Sunday, July 10, 3:00 p.m.  – location TBD
Sunday, August 7, 3:00 p.m.  – location TBD

Again, watch this space and your email inbox for updates. We anticipate that each event will be from 3-5 hours. As plans are solidified, we will share the schedule, how to register, and everything else you need to know. And, if you’d like to help us plan, we’d love to have you join us.
