The 225th General Assembly of the P.C.U.S.A
June 18 – July 9, 2022
Theme: From Lament to Hope

The Committee on the Office of the General Assembly (COGA) is knee-deep into working on how to combine in-person committee meetings with online plenaries and how to conduct those at the Church’s Louisville office. J. Herbert Nelson, Stated Clerk, cast an exciting vision for General Assembly meetings that, when implemented alongside the technical changes approved by COGA, would move us out of former structures that previously excluded and sidelined some and into new frameworks that create a transformational environment for the work to be done.

The PLR Nominating Committee is looking for people willing to serve as commissioners. The Presbytery will elect two Ruling Elders, two Ministers of Word and Sacrament, and one Young Adult Advisory Delegate, plus one or two alternates. For detailed information about the guidelines for serving as a GA Commissioner, please refer to the GA Commissioner Nominating Guidelines.

The cost of transportation, lodging and meals is covered. The event is physically and mentally demanding. Those seeking election must be available for the entire three week period, although depending on committee assignment you will have days off during June 20- July 2.
