Online Sexual Harassment Prevention Training

California postponed its 2019 requirement once, pushing the deadline to January 1, 2021. The state has not postponed again. Employers of five or more must provide one hour of training to all employees, and two hours of training to those in supervisory roles.

The Synod’s September 2019 Boundaries Workshop satisfied the Presbytery’s requirement for boundaries training, but the provider would not certify that the workshop would satisfy the state’s sexual harassment requirement.

If you or your employees did not take a state-approved training in the last two years, I (Forrest) encourage you to do it soon (though it pains me to hint at still another burden in such a season). You can find a suitable training through your insurance provider, or at this site on the state’s Fair Employment and Housing page.
