Dr. Bakke is Chancellor of the Union University of California.
We have hosted Ray as a speaker before for various presbytery events, as has Trinity Presbyterian Church for their own mission leadership events.
Union University of California was the Union College which was originally the Vietnamese Theological College. Pastor Cuong, who was pastor of our Vietnamese Presbyterian Church, was involved in leadership on the board for many years, including as acting president for a time.
The current president is Dale Sewell, retired pastor of Mercer Island Presbyterian Church in Seattle Presbytery. He is a fine pastor and leader for justice and a life-long friend of Gary Collins, who retired from St. Mark Presbyterian Church.
