October 2-3
Various Churches

We are pleased to announce that Arda Agharzarian, an Armenian Palestinian Christian born and raised in the Old City of Jerusalem, will be visiting various churches in our area in early October. She is an International Peacemaker as well as a Middle East Mission Leader. She will speak about the difficult issues in the middle east. Please plan to attend one or more of the events below hosted by our churches.

International Peacemakers are leaders who are engaged in peacemaking in their own areas of the world. They are invited by the Presbyterian Church (USA) to visit the United States and to help us understand the peace and justice concerns of others around the world. This deepens understanding of peace and justice issues in our own communities by extending compassion, seeking peace, and doing justice.

Arda studied at Birzeit University in the West Bank after the Second Uprising “Intifada”, a phase which brought difficult questions and an interest in human rights and conflict resolution. She has taken courses in media and film and worked as a producer and presenter for a radio station building bridges between Palestinians and Israelis.

Additional events are offered at locations in other presbyteries in the area. Check the flyer for more information.
