April 27, Noon-4:00 pm
Trinity United Presbyterian Church, Santa Ana

A special forum with Curt Thompson, author of Anatomy of the Soul, will be held at Trinity the afternoon of Friday, April 27. The cost of $10 includes lunch.

Loving God with all our mind, we believe, will ultimately lead to a more just and merciful world. Thus, loving God with all our mind is not simply a convenient abstraction for individual, personal growth and development, but is about working with God and others as He ushers in His kingdom through every conceivable domain as well as transforming how we live interpersonally with each other in and outside the church.

Emerging findings from God’s good creation point us to what it means to live lives of joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and self control. Discoveries in fields such as neuroscience, attachment studies, and physics inform and energize the transformational work that God has been doing in and through Jesus from the beginning.

This workshop will explore with pastors and others who work with congregations what it means to love God with all the mind as well as the implications for more confidently and restfully shepherding flocks. It is based on Dr. Thompson’s book: Anatomy of the Soul: Surprising Connections between Neuroscience and Spiritual Practices That Can Transform Your Life and Relationships.
