Rev. Candie Blankman will hold a book signing party at the Mambo Grill in Downey on Saturday, January 21, from 5-8 pm. The owner of the Grill, David Llamas, is a partner with Downey First Presbyterian Church in offering free meals to homeless friends. Free drinks and a free book will be given th the first ten customers for the party.
Rev. Blankman’s book, based on her pilgrimage to find out about her father and his time as a POW during World War II, Forged by War: A Daughter Shaped by a WWII POW Story is available on Amazon, but to get a signed copy, come to the party!
